Peter Neff has had big wins on all the major sites. He took down the PokerStars $300 freezeout for $50,777. He has final tabled the PokerStars $100 rebuy many times including a win for $22,020, as well as winning numerous tournaments with $100 buy ins on FullTilt and UltimateBet.
Neff’s love of tournaments is relatively recent; he spent most of his early poker career playing cash games and sit ‘n’ go tournaments. Surprisingly, he claims to have never had a job; being so young and already having lifetime winnings approaching $500,000 it looks doubtful that he ever will. Taking down so many big scores so young is always a good sign – Neff should have a bright future ahead of him.
He has also had some nice results in live poker, coming 13th in the WPT Bellagio Cup tournament for $51,640, 29th in the WPT Legends of poker for $20,575, and coming 18th in the WPT Annual Five Star Poker Classic Event 10 for $11,205.
Peter also put in a superb performance in the PocketFives PLB bet – coming in second with “SCTrojans” for a decent pay day (and the respect of all the highest stakes MTT players online, of course). This profile may well have to be updated within a few months – Neff’s age and skill suggest that within a very short period of time he will have taken down some serious live and online scores.
Keep your eye out for “number1pen” next time you’re at the tables – he is a dangerous and aggressive player who could well be counting your chips if you don’t look out.
