Poker has been up and down to say the least for Jonathan ‘Fieryjustice’ Little.
He won a WPT Title and was named Player of the Year before being hired and fired by Full Tilt under a cloud of controversy as to who was playing on his account.
But 2008 was another spectacular year of winnings for Little as he celebrated winning the WPT World Poker Finals for a cool $1,120,310 in November. While all eyes were on the November Nine, Little came through a stacked field in Foxwoods to take down the 412 runner event which included the likes of Mike Matusow (6th, $124,048) & David Pham (4th, $240,344) on the final table.
In doing so, ‘Fieryjustice’ becomes only the 9th player to have won multiple WPT Titles, following in prestigious footsteps such as Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, Erick Lindgren & Gus Hansen.
This wasn’t Little’s only major cash of the year – in March he came 5th in NBC’s Heads-Up Championship for $75,000 before a string of Festa al Lago cashes and the Foxwoods victory took his live tournament winnings to almost $4million.
- Multiple WPT Title winner
- Almost $4million in live tournament winnings
- Final tabled WCOOP $10,000 NLH
– Has his own website, sngicons.com
Despite becoming an increasingly live player, Little hasn’t forgotten his online roots and in September his PokerStars alias of ‘Jcardshark’ final tabled WCOOP Event #5 ($10,000 NLH), eventually busting in 7th for a further $107,535 (the likes of DuckU, #1PEN & Chris Moneymaker were also in attendance).
Clearly Little is one of the most successful tournament players of the last 2 years and it would not be surprising if another site took a chance on sponsoring him, even in the light of the Full Tilt scandal. His record is too good for them not to.
