The only player that can put a permanent karma curse on you is Prahlad Friedman, and believe me you don’t want that to happen
The formidable cash game player gives a rare interview
Name/Age/Location/Poker ID and why you chose it?
Mohammad Kowssarie from Sweden and I go under the name TheTerrorist or Fast_Freddie. I chose the second one to distract opponents because I was very often called down by players with nothing because of the reputed aggressiveness of TheTerrorist. [He is also said to be TerrorOfSweden on Full Tilt]
What do you currently play now?
I play everything over $10-$20 NL up to $100-$200, and sometimes even $200-$400 and $300-$600 NLH or pot limit Omaha.
When or what started you off in playing poker? How were your early experiences in learning how to play?
I’ve played poker for many years but for real money only about three or four years now. I learned the game the hard way and played for many hours, over and over, building and tearing down my bankroll and self-esteem countless times. I still have a long way to go so I would say that I’m still in the development phase.
How did you start off your online bankroll?
I built my online bankroll multi-tabling six-handed low limit games and playing fixed limit ring games and heads-up.
So what factors/skills /attributes got you to that level?
I think it’s because I’ve spent so much time on poker and have not given up. Also, nobody can neglect the luck factor and I’ve had it go my way at crucial times so far.
How much money have you made from online poker in the last two years?
The last two years I wouldn’t know exactly but from cash games about $2-$3 million.
Which sites do you play on?
I play on a lot of sites including Ladbrokes, Prima, UltimateBet etc. I like to spread my bankroll and keep an eye open for new sites.
If you play MTTs what are your golden rules?
I’m fairly new to MTTs, but I’ve come to like them more and more. I can guarantee a WPT or WSOP win in 2007! Mark my words! I’ve come to learn that people play so plainly and simply in these tournaments and in my opinion a lot of chips can be made easily by just showing your opponents a different image than the one they expect then waiting for the right opportunity.
Do you play offline, and if so, where/when did you play?
I spent the last part of the 2006 playing live in Las Vegas as I recently moved over there and I am going back there in a few weeks to play the WPT in April. I also want to get focused for the WSOP and the juicy cash games too.
Has there ever been a time when things just weren’t going right for you while playing poker? What was your worst run ever and what did you do to get through these times?
In poker things will always go wrong from time to time, a champion can become a loser very quickly because the game is just not always fair, but adjusting limits and taking breaks is the key here.
Who is your favorite professional poker player and why?
I would say the legend Stu Ungar would be my favourite for obvious reasons
Which five adjectives best describe you?
I’m not saying
What do you consider is your biggest accomplishment in poker?
I don’t consider that I have any big accomplishments yet.
Do you have one memorable hand you would like to share?
I have several big outdraws that are posted through the internet where I three-outed Phil Ivey for $100,000 or where I beat luckyULSA on Prima for a huge pot with rags pre-flop, and, of course, there was the gigantic pot with Johnny Lodden (bad_ip).
For readers who don’t know the hand the biggest pot in online history went like this:
Dealing Cards to Players
bad_ip raises to $1,200
Fast_Freddie raises to $4,000
bad_ip calls for $3,000
Dealing the Flop (7c-Ah-Ac)
Fast_Freddie bets $8,000
bad_ip raises for $16,000
Fast_Freddie raises for $32,000
bad_ip calls for $24,000
The Turn is Dealt (5s)
Fast_Freddie bet for $74,000
bad_ip goes all in for $188,326
Fast_Freddie calls $114,326
Dealing the river(Kc)
Fast_Freddie shows Trip Aces(A-A-A-K-J)
bad_ip mucks hand
Fast_Freddie wins $465,451 with Trip Aces
Which online poker players do you consider to be the best? And why?
I think there are too many to be mentioned. They win and lose against each other so many times so I can’t say with confidence who is the best here. However, what I will say is that I am disappointed the media just takes note of huge MTT players when, in fact, a lot of the online cash game players are better poker players. Poker is not just about playing A-A. The only player that can put a permanent karma curse on you is Prahlad Friedman, and believe me you don’t want that to happen!!!!!!!!
What are some tips and tricks you can give out to the readers that might improve there games/build a bankroll? What do you suggest is the best ways to improve?
I think poker can be just like chess, so if you analyse and break down your game you can achieve real improvements and learn from your mistakes.
Which one poker book/video, if any, revolutionised the way you play poker?
One of a Kind, the biography of Stu Ungar by Nolan Dalla, was really entertaining to read but I don’t know if it directly affected my poker.
Do you want to say ‘Hi’ to anyone?
Well, I’d like to say ‘hi’ to my Chihuahua, a dog named “Dollar” , However, he is only a couple of months old so I don’t think he is gonna be playing poker anytime soon!!!
