Tournament Results: Poker Verdict Team

In this section, we feature some of the major tournament results achieved by The Poker Verdict Team since Poker Verdict was first conceived in August 2005. Given the fact that the team play tournament poker part-time while carrying on busy full-time jobs, we are proud of both the scale and the depth of the achievements listed.

James Hipwell wins the $1000 prize for best overall average in the 10 tournament Poker Verdict League.

Neil Channing wins a £1000 side event in the GUKPT Grand Final festival, good for over £30k.

Warren Wooldridge takes down the Nightly 50 grand on PokerStars and sees his bankroll rise by $13,000.

Neil Channing comes 5th in the GUKPT Blackpool securing over £20k and another night on TV.

Neil Channing wins his heat to reach the semi final of the UK Open securing a decent cash and televised appearance.

Amy Trodd takes home £3,488 after doing an equal 6 way chop in the £200 No Limit event at this years Gutshot Series of Poker.

Warren Wooldridge came 2nd in the Luton leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, taking down a prize of nearly £52,000. He saw off all but one of the 314 entrants in a top class field that included Roland de Wolfe, Surinder Sunar, Willie Tann and Praz Bansi . Read blog.

Neil Channing bested over 6,000 other players in the WSOP Main Event, coming an impressive 131st for $58,570. That's his third and deepest cash to date in the World Championship event.

David Gross aka thekid08 comes close to another monster pay-day. It ends in disappointment though with a bad beat and a final table bubble in the PokerStars $1000 weekly tourney (308 runners). First pays $77,000, 10th only pays $2,500 :-(

Warren Wooldridge comes 23rd in event 33 at the WSOP, the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha with rebuys. His $16k cash is made all the more sweet by the fact that he didn't take any rebuys at all!

David Gross plays the Daily Bellagio $1K Nightly event for the fourth time since arrival in Vegas. He comes 3rd (field of 89), good for $11k, which caps off a remarkable run. David Gross wins the £300 "6-pac Highroller" tournament on Betfair Poker. He defeats a field of 23 other players. The excellent prize structure (50% to the winner) means that he picks up a prize of £3,600. Myles Phago wins a 99-runner side £300 buy-in tournament at the European Poker Championships at The Vic, winning £10,400.
