Hugo “The Chimney Sweep" Martin is a familiar face at London's Victoria Casino, where he has been playing poker seriously for well over 10 years. He is a regular blogger on Poker Verdict and pens his famous round-up of all the best poker blogs every week.
Although he cut his teeth in the Vic’s weekly no limit holdem £10 re-buy tournaments Hugo prefers playing live cash games, especially dealer’s choice. His last notable tournament result was 17th in the London EPT at the Vic in 2004.
A long time friend of London EPT 2006 champ Victoria Coren, he is a regular player in her weekly game where weird variations (or 'funnies') are frequently dealt.
He plays as "flotilla" at Betfair Poker and "fyno" at PokerStars, although he says he's gone totally skint at Stars so you’ll only find him at that particular site slaughtering his few remaining FPPs.
