" I love winning - its really not about the money at all"
Chris “Moorman1" Moorman has had one of the sickest starts to 2008 of any online pro. PokerVerdict caught up with him to ask a few questions about the money, the rankings, and the year so far.

So Chris, how’s it feel to have cracked the top ten on pocket fives?

Yeah it feels great since I only first cracked the rankings early in 2007. The top 10 is always where I aspired to get to; but I'm not content to stop there...

So what’s been your total profit for 2008 so far?

I wouldn't really like to say exact figures but I'm up over $100k so far which is well above my target so far, but as you know in poker the variance can be a killer so I am far from resting on my laurels.

So what is more important to you, the money or the rankings/respect of peers?

Definitely the rankings and the respects of my fellow pro's. I know it sounds cliche, but at the end of the day the main reason I play is because I'm such a competitive person, I love winning - its really not about the money at all. I take more satisfaction in a smaller win than a big final table. As long as you have enough money to be able to do what you want in life then the money isn't really an issue.

So when are you gonna start transferring your online record to the live arena?

Well I'm planning on definitely playing a couple of GUKPTs before the WSOP (probably London and Manchester). I'm also aiming to satellite into both the Irish Open and Ept Warsaw. My real main aim is Vegas this year, I'm going to be going over for 2 months and sharing a house with Allinstevie and a few other poker friends and am going to take a months worth of online profit and see what I can do with it in the live arena.

And finally, any shoutouts?

Both of the Stevie's need to start putting up some results to put the pressure back on the UK n1 spot. And congrats to Rex55 for getting 2nd place in the Omaha hl limit FTOPS event last night.
