What poker sites do you currently play on?
PokerStars, UltimateBet, Full Tilt, Bodog and PartyPoker.
When or what started you off in playing poker? How were your early experiences in learning how to play?
I started playing with friends at home, then I moved online and became a losing player untll I started using Cardrunners.com. I found some success at multi-table tournaments (MTTs) and swore to give up cash games altogether.
How did you start off your online bankroll?
I deposited several times on the big sites until I finally won something and built it up from there.
So what factors/skills /attributes got you to that level?
Patience, stamina, aggression and not being a complete donkey
How much money have you made from online poker in the last two years? Biggest cash?
I’d rather not say my total winnings but my biggest cash was taking down the $10 rebuy on PokerStars for $13,385 (it was also on the same day I came second in the $20 rebuy on Stars for $6,225).
Do you play Sit ‘n’ Gos and, if so, which ones are your favourites?
Never, cant stand them.
If you play MTTs what are your golden rules?
1 Always be the aggressor
2 Have no fear
3 Don’t tilt
Do you play live, and if so, where/when did you play? Best live results?
I play live a lot at the Western and Gutshot clubs in London. I won a couple of tournaments at the local Sheffield casino where I went to university. My biggest win was first in a Warwick student poker tournament for £3,000.
Has there ever been a time when things just weren't going right for you while playing poker? What was your worst run ever and what did you do to get through these times?
MTTs are known for their variance and it can be very frustrating when you are playing very good poker but getting unlucky in certain spots and missing out on big pay-outs. Normally after a bad run I take a couple of days off and try and come back with an open mind.
Who is your favorite professional poker player and why?
Moorman1, a big online MTT pro. I made contact with him a couple of months ago and he has been very generous and helped me take my game to another level. I have great respect for his game.
Which adjectives best describe your style of play?
I am recklessly aggressive.
There’s got to be something that sticks out in your mind as a particularly good mindset or a strategy that has helped you in tournament play thus far. What is it?
Be aggressive and have no fear.
What proportion of poker is luck and what proportion skill?
Too much luck for my liking.
What do you consider is your biggest accomplishment in poker?
Having a $20k day when I won those two tournaments on PokerStars.
Which online poker players do you consider to be the best? And why?
Moorman1 – underrated
Imperium/zangbezan24 – on a different level to anyone
What are some tips and tricks you can give out to the readers that might improve there games/build a bankroll? What do you suggest is the best ways to improve?
I feel getting involved in a poker community where you can talk about strategy and bankroll management helps a lot. Having friends who play or becoming a member of an online community are good ways to improve your game.
Which one poker book/video/website, if any, revolutionised the way you play poker?
Cardrunners.com helped me enormously.
