Jared Hamby aka "TheWacoKidd" is a fearless player who has some big scores both online and live...
Hailing from Henderson, Nevada Jared Hamby (aka “TheWacoKidd”) is a player taking the world of poker by storm. His list of accomplishments online is astonishing. He has come third in the FullTilt 1k Monday for $40,680, first in the PokerStars $100 rebuy for $27,390, second in the $200k on UltimateBet for $25,915, and fourth in the PartyPoker Sunday Million for $44,000.
Jared is also known for his love of gambling on sports and zero equity bets (bets with no advantage to either player) - and is known to have a lot of gamble in him (always hard to combat if you meet him at the tables). The gamble has paid off though: he is currently living a life most 25-year-olds could only dream about - partying hard, chasing women, and making hundreds of thousands of dollars on the way.
Unlike many of the other top online players, Jared has had remarkable success in live poker tournaments too, taking down some scores which have really made the poker world notice him. He has won over $1 million in live poker tournaments. Notable scores include: 1st in the WPT Mirage Poker Showdown for $86,363; 1st in two WPT events in one year for a combined cash of over $400,000; and a second in the WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship for $459,080.
These results speak for themselves - Jared is clearly one of the most successful poker players in the world right now. If encountered on the felt your best bet is probably to try and avoid him. If you have to become involved be prepared for a roller coaster ride - Jared plays poker like he lives, and you will never know what high or low will be just around the corner.
