Peter Neff has been on an absolute tear in 2008, both live and online....

Last year we highlighted Peter ‘number1pen’ Neff as one of the best MTT players on the planet: since then his stock has risen even further, both in online and live circles.

Neff enjoyed a stunning summer on PokerStars; in June & July he came first and second in the $100 Re-Buys (for $54,650 & $28,783 respectively) before a three day stint in September to match anything achieved in the whole of 2008.
The 6th September saw him place second in WCOOP Event #3 ($200 Limit Hold’Em) for $54,192 before final tabling Event #5 as well just 48 hours later! He eventually came 3rd in the $10,000 NLH ($2mill GTD) for $337,050, by far the biggest cash of his illustrious career to date. But not content with two major WCOOP cashes in two days, Neff sat down the following night to take down the Nightly Hundred Grand for $26,156 to take his winnings on the site to over $1.2million.

But this has also been a superb live summer for Neff, who went deep in both Main Events at the Rio and at the Empire. In the WSOP he was making a real run at the final table before eventually busting in 36th for $193,000 before being the final table bubble boy in London – an agonising 10th place finish to earn himself a further $98,756.

Number1pen continues to dominate the sit and go scene as well, with a 10% ROI from an average buy-in of almost $500 on Stars - clearly he is one of the most talented tournament players in the world and we expect his hot streak to continue for a long time to come.
