Is This The Real Fast_Freddie?

We're (nearly) sure that Mohammad Kowssarie is the shadowy figure tearing up the tables online...

"Why would Jeff Garza try to pass himself off as Fast_Freddie?"

The other day our colleague Hugo Martin speculated on the identity of Fast_Freddie, the onlike poker genius who has been tearing up the tables and collecting huge pots while riling opponents at the same time (read the full story here).

We suggested the shadowy figure might be teenage prodigy Jeff Garza aka "ActionJeff" - but a Poker Verdict reader from Denmark has written in to tell us Fast_Freddie is another of the names on our "possibles" list - Mohammad Kowssarie, aka "The Terrorist".

Kowssarie is rarely photographed but has a reputation as one of the best online players in the world today. His website details his online and offline exploits - he regularly plays in big tournaments in Las Vegas casinos as well as raking in big pots online.

The recent PokerStars-sponsored Scandinavian Poker Awards appeared to underpin the idea that Kowssarie is indeed Fast_Freddie - Kowssarie was nominated in the Best Swedish Online player category as Fast_Freddie, which tells you everything you need to know.

That might solve the mystery of who Fast_Freddie is, but it doesn't answer the following question: why on earth would Jeff Garza try to pass himself off as Fast_Freddie? Was it pure jealousy, or did he merely want to trick his opponents into thinking he was someone he wasn't? Let us know at jamesh@pokerverdict.com

To finally have conclusive proof, it would be nice if Mohammad Kowssarie could drop us a line at jamesh@pokerverdict.com to confirm that he is Fast_Freddie. There's nothing like hearing it from the horse's mouth.

Are we right? Is Mohammad Kowssarie Fast_Freddie? Email and tell us
