The Cash Games.
The cash game story of the week has to be about David Benyamine. We all know that David seems ever present in the big cash games online - he has clocked up wins of over $3 million so far this year - but he now also proved his live tournament prowess, taking down WSOP event #37, the $10,000 buy in World Championship Omaha hi-lo. This earned him over $535,000, as well as his first WSOP bracelet.
David came into his own once the game got short handed (with the number of hands he has played online in the short format this is hardly surprising), and eliminated the last three players with ruthless ease. Not content with winning his first bracelet and over half a million dollars, David has also been playing in the $200/$400 PLO online games all weekend, and has made over $250,000 since Friday.
Quite where he fits in more regular activities, like eating, sleeping, going out or just sitting down and relaxing is unclear. One thing is for certain though, if ever someone was trying to design a poker playing machine, David Benyamine would not be far off the ideal design.
