The Poker Stars and Full Tilt Sunday majors were both replaced with massive satellites to the WSOP main event, with Full Tilt giving away 150 packages, and Poker Stars giving away a massive 226.

The Cash Games.

The games have been really slow over this weekend due to the WSOP. The best we got was a bit of swingy action between Patrick Antonius and Alahi “Ziigmund” Sahamies, with Antonius winning around $160,000. This must have felt like a good result for Patrick, as at one point during the match he was down over $100,000.

The story of the weekend has to be about mystery high stakes Omaha player “ICallSoWhat”. This player has been destroying the high stakes Omaha games, winning over $300,000 over the last four or five days, taking his total for the month of June to nearly $1 million dollars.

He is by far and away the biggest winner over the year so far, clocking up over $4.7 million dollars worth of profit since the start of 2008. To put this in perspective, the other big winner in these games is David Benyamine (who many argue is the world’s best Omaha player) who in the same period has only managed to win around half this amount.

Who this player is, and whether they will continue this sick run of form (the variance in Omaha can be staggeringly high), is something only time will tell. One thing is for sure though, if this guy/girl keeps this up for much longer, there won’t be much money left to win in the high stakes Omaha games.
