Congratulations to Soren “Kongsgaard” Kongsgaard, who has now becomes one of just a couple of players to have won the two biggest regular tournaments on the net - the PokerStars Sunday Million and the FullTilt $750k.

The Cash Games.

The cash action has been sporadic and quick over the weekend. It seems that many of the players are jumping online as soon as they have breaks in the WSOP, which is leading to games which seem to appear and disappear in a matter of minutes.

We did have the rare treat of Phil Ivey playing “trex313" on a $300/$600 “deep” table. Deep tables allow players to buy in for twice the regular amount - meaning in this game both players had $120,000 stacks to play with. Only a very few hands went to showdown, and Phil Ivey edged a relatively small win of about $80,000 before writing in chat that he had to leave to play in the $10,000 WSOP stud event.

These two had also been playing some other short sessions over the weekend on the deep $200/$400 PLO table - hopefully the action will continue as both these players seem up for a long duel.

Over in the regular big PLO game, the weekend’s big winner is “IcallSoWhat”, who has made over a million dollars in the last few days. The other big winner in the PLO games was Phil “OMGClayAiken” who won around $300,000 after a long ten hour session.

The big losers over the weekend were Patrick “FinddaGrind” Antonius (-$420,000), and Alahi “Ziigmund” Sahamies (-$240,000). Regular loser “lady marmelade” (who is believed to be the high stakes cash game donator Guy Laliberte) also continues their massive losing streak, dropping just under a quarter of a million dollars over the weekend.

The WSOP seems to be taking priority over the big games online right now, but hopefully in a couple of weeks we can get back to regular business. We might just get that elusive half million pot if the action on the deep stacked tables continues...
