Chris Moorman wins a third triple crown

Moorman1 ties for the all time record with his latest achievement

By Philip Tuck

Chris Moorman has cemented himself firmly at the highest level of online tournament play by winning a third triple crown. Here at PokerVerdict we predicted this feat no so long ago here - just after Chris had won his second. The criteria for winning the PocketFives’ triple crown are simple: A player has to win three tournaments, on three different sites, each with a prize pool of over $10,000, and all in just one week.

The three tournaments that Chris took down were:

May 25th - PartyPoker $30k “High Roller” for $19,662;
May 27th - FullTilt $13.5k guaranteed for $4,731;
June 1st - the PokerStars $10k guaranteed for $4,253.

This ties him for the all time record with Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman with three crowns each. With Scott not putting in the volume he used to anymore, it looks like Chris could well be the first ever player to win four triple crowns. Good luck sir...
