The Cash Games.

The story of the weekend in the cash games is all about two players. Alahi “Ziigmund” Sahamies, and Brian Hastings. Ziigmund has been on a massive downswing over the last two months, and was close to losing over two million dollars over this period. It finally seems that his luck has changed however, and he has stormed back over the last few days, winning close to $400,000 since Friday. It’s great to see him back in the big games, his incredibly loose aggressive style of play is always a joy to watch.

Brian Hastings went on a huge downswing over the weekend, only to be rescued by one of the largest pot ever won online - a whopping $354,000 pot played between him and SteveSong, with Brian Hasting’s middle set holding up against Steve’s monster draw. Even with the help of this pot, Brian downswing was bad enough that he still ended the weekend over $50k down.

Other big winners this weekend include Markus Golser ( $170k) and “Cogaz” ( $181k). The big losers came as a bit of a surprise, as they are two of the most consistent players on the net usually, but David Benyamine (-128k) and “IcallSoWhat” (-196k) both took big hits. All in all, it’s been yet another great week of action on the cash tables, hopefully next week we might finally get that elusive $500k pot.
