"It has been a brilliant 2008 for the man from Enfield"
Congratulations to Andy Ward who continued his huge run when taking down the PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed Sunday on 6th April.

'TheSpider' negotiated his way past 1,660 players and took a $64,779 first prize home from the $332,200 prize pool.

He began the final table on an average chip stack but ground his way to heads-up play where he defeated 'eposss' when his KJ caught a jack on the flop to his opponents' 33.

It has been a brilliant 2008 for the man from Enfield; he had already won a $55 re-buy (for $10,051) and a $109 re-buy (for $20,280) on PokerStars and came 3rd in another $109 on March 30th; good for a further $21,822.

(Andy plays on Stars as 'GetItQuietly').

He has also enjoyed other success on PartyPoker, having finished 2nd in the High Roller $30k GTD in January to cash $10,795.

He will hope to transfer his form to live poker when he competes in the PartyPoker World Open, starting this Friday.

The sponsors have him down as a 20/1 shot for the prestigious title, with Poker Verdict's Neil Channing starting a 16/1 favorite. (You can a full list of prices at partybets.com and clicking on 'Poker').
