Congratulations to PV pros Neil Channing and Nik Persaud who are officially 1st and 2nd in the ‘Poker in Europe’ monthly European Rankings.
Bad Beat retains his number one spot for May as a result of his stunning Irish Open victory in March, which earned him a cheque for €801,400 and 3,000 of his 3,900 ranking points for 2008.
He also came 2nd in a GUKPT side event at the Vic earlier that month for £15,960 and a further 900 points.
Nik Persaud’s incredible GUKPT consistency has seen him rise to #2, having final tabled an unbelievable 3 of the first 4 legs of 2008! He ended up 6th in the Brighton opener in January (for £14,000 and 840 points), 4th in February’s Walsall leg (£23,680 for 1,120 points) and last month was runner-up in Manchester for £52,530 and a whopping 1,920 points.
This puts them ahead of the likes of EPT Dortmund winner Mike McDonald and Monte Carlo Grand Final Champion Glen Chorny.
Neil is also 4th in the overall rolling rankings throughout Europe (since May 07), ahead of the likes of Annette Obrestad, Jeff Kimber and Soren Kongsgaard.
Well done from everyone at PV, guys, and here’s to carrying this form to the World Series.
