23:24: Michael raises and Sami shoves. Michael calls with
and sees Sami's
. The flop is

and Sami's supporters cheer, but not for long as the turn is
giving Michael the nut straight and leaving Sami in need of the board to pair to win. It doesn't with a
river and Michael is crowned GUKPT champion. Sami finishes 2nd for £106,900 and Michael 1st for £197,600. It's been great and I'm off to play some Vic cash with my fellow bloggers so so long and fair well until 2008!

and Michael merely a draw with
. Sami doubles up with a turn and river of
.

22:25: On the button, Michael makes it 120k to go. Sami moves all in and Michael folds. Next time Michael's on the button, he limps, and Sami moves all in. Again, he folds. The next hand after this Sami moves all in from his button. 'I'm all in again.' And as Michael folds, he asks 'No?' and mucks his cards.

. 'Gimme the money' Dave announces showing
for two pair top kicker. The others muck and Dave triples up.

16:19: Michael pushes on a flop of

. Michael is drawing with
with one overcard and the
turn gives him a little hope in the form of trips, but he needn't worry about this avenue as the
river gives him the flush to double up.
________________________________
16:12: It's a three way escapade as Simon pushes his remaining 31k, to be called by Dave and Michael. On a flop of

Dave pushes all in for his remaining 69k. Michael thinks. what the hell, and calls with
for top pair. Dave however has
for top pair top kicker and Simon
for little hope. The turn and river are like this -
and Simon finishes in 9th for £14,800, whilst Dave doubles-and-a-halves-up.

16:05: Back from a short break. 'We need to take a break and change one of the cameras, cos they're cheap' says Ian. Yep, sounds about right. I seem to recall an extension block falling 2cm from my head in Luton whilst I was supporting Warren, and the crew running with sellotape to 'secure' it back into place. Yeah, you know it's good.

15:52: Dave pushes and the players ask for a count. 77k. 'I've got a hand' says Mark. 'Well, what do you want me to say? Congratulations?' says Dave, as he watches the remaining players pass and takes down the blinds and antes. The first bit of humour all night has come from a short stack and I hope that he doesn't leave early as amusement is key to my mental survival tonight.
An interesting quote from Mark, pre-final table today. 'What time do these things normally finish?' to which somebody tells him 'If you get it done quickly it could be over at 10pm.' Mark, clearly a stranger to the all nighter horrors of the press room says 'What, that long?'. Well, we hope not Mark. Get aggressive and take this baby down.
Another random thought for you - at some point over the weekend we told you that Mark had come from Canada to visit his sister. Mark approahced me yesterday and said he liked our 'out there' imagination but in fact he was from California and doesn't have a sister in the UK. Sorry for that one Mark - but glad you liked our creativity.

15:47: Simon raises from the small blind, 20k more for Carlos' big blind. The flop is

. Carlos flat calls. I am bemused by the shortness of his stack and his lack of shoving. However, it all becomes clear as Simon shoves and Carlos instacalls, showing
, dominating Simon's
. Carlos doubles up. Simon is left with 37k.

15:42: Mark calls Ben's 46k raise. The flop comes

. They check and see a turn of

. Mark bets 50k and Ben calls. Mark confidently flips
for the flopped straight. Ben looks a little offended as he mucks. Well the flop did help Mark, Ben...
________________________________
15:30: Mark makes it 55k from middle position and to his immediate left Simon re-raises to 120k total. Mark calls, and they check the flop

. The turn is
and Mark bets 60k. Simon makes a troubled fold and Mark exceeds the 1 million mark in chips.
________________________________
15:16: Dave raises from cut off to 35k. Mark calls from the small blind (after asking Barnes' to count remaining stack - 235k). The big blind, Simon, also calls. They check the flop and turn,

high and expects to take down the pot but Mark shows
for the full house. No bet?

15:14: Owen announces all in for around 90k from the button, the first push we have seen today. He is in cut off with only three players after him and none have the cards to take him on. He gets some blinds and antes.
