00:14: Day 1a is complete. Just before the end, Ken Wong re-raised Sunar, putting him all in. Sunar called, his undefinedundefined rivering an undefined against Ken's undefinedundefined. Ken is down to 30k. Neil Channing is on 67k. Come on boys!

It's been a great first day, I've survived on just one red bull (my caffeine rehab officer will be very proud, if you're reading this Cecilia, we can do my caffeine level test tomorrow and you'll see how good I've been - we're looking at maybe 100mg tops) and the Poker Verdict boys are doing great. We're sad about David but he's cheering up a little and he'll be back and better at the next event he chooses to play. The newest addition to our team, Ryan, has had a great first day so lots of credit to him.

23:54: Romanello has been moved to Neil Channing's right. Neil doubled up Sunar recently, losing 15k of his 55k stack but building it up soon afterwards without having to showdown. Ken Wong just told the table he had laid down undefinedundefined when his opponnent showed undefinedundefined.

23:48: Lopez raises to 3600 UTG. Fox re-raises to 12000 UTG 1. Lopez is all in for 40000 total, and Fox instacalls with undefinedundefined. Lopez is knocked out as his undefinedundefined does not connect with the board.

23:43: Monster stack Roberto Romanello puts Vicky Coren all in on a undefinedundefinedundefined flop. In a classic speech play, Roberto asks Vicky if she really wants to call. He tells her it's not a big deal if she wins the hand as he's got a big stack, and she's nice, so it's ok. Eventually Vicky folds, waiting for her drink 'I'm letting you bluff because I want to get my drink - show me a hand better than a pair of sevens and I'll give you five pounds...' Vicky flashes a Vic £5 chip and Roberto flashes a king. Vicky tosses him the chip and he tosses it back. 'I'm too nice' says Roberto.

23:35: On a flop of undefinedundefinedundefined Maz Nawab bets out 4k. Ketu raises to 14k. Maz re-raises to... a hell of a lot of chips... I'd estimate 30k. Ketu folds. HUGE! Neither of the two players show a hand.

23:28: Ash Hussain is out. He pushed pre flop with undefinedundefined and was called by Jon Heath with undefinedundefined. The first card on the flop was a undefined, but the second was an undefined and it was downhill from there.

_____________________________________________

23:20: Colclough is hard on himself after a huge pot. On a board of undefinedundefinedundefined Dan Samson bets 8000 in middle position. Colclough flat calls from the cut off. Nathan Lee pushes all in for 23825 more and Samson gets out of the way. 'This stinks to high heaven' says Dave, sure he is ahead. Eventually, Dave folds. He is reluctant however and unsure of his desicion as he flashes undefinedundefined. When Nathan shows undefinedundefined David says 'I knew I should have called.' It's okay though as Dave has now doubled up!

23:17: The chip leader tonight, tomorrow and Saturday will each win a seat to the GUKPT Grand Final in 2008. Nice!
