My 50k Weekend
8 November 2006
Phil Shaw, aka Jackal69 on PokerStars, had a superb time of it in a couple of big weekend multi-table tournaments
As ever, I wasn’t expecting much of a reward from the weekend tournaments on PokerStars (it’s hard to be disappointed with such an attitude), but the onset of dark winter nights and the lure of some tasty events saw me return to my favourite site for the first time since its World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) a month ago.

8 December 2006
Phil Shaw plays online Sit n Gos with the best players out there. Who are they?
With recent legislation closing sites like PartyPoker to American customers, PokerStars has become the de facto home of Sit ’n’ Go (SNG) poker. So now seems like a good time to take a look at the best long-term players on that site as well as who has been making waves after coming across from other sites.
Here then, in no particular order, are ten of the best online poker players currently playing at the mid ($200-$300) and high level ($500-$1k) nine-seater SNGs:

Perhaps the most visible migrant from PartyPoker, both due to high volume play in the $500 and $1k events and claiming... Read More...
