Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan – why did anyone ever doubt him?
The online maestro had been questioned by railers after a $1million+ downsing on his return to the virtual felt. However, Dwan answered those critics – and then some – in February by posting profits of almost $3million on the high stakes Full Tilt tables.
Most of his profits came from the ridiculously swingy 2-7 TD NL $200/$400 tables, which is not for the faint hearted! ‘durrrr’ won $1.3million in one day on these tables against players such as trex313, Sauce1234 and patpatpanda, and also pocketed a nice $500,000 PLO profit against the likes of Ben ‘Bttech86′ Tollerene and Phil Galfond.
Clearly when someone like Dwan wins big, someone has to lose big as well. Sauce1234 took the brunt of it – the online legend lost almost $1.5million – while the great Phil Ivey also ended nearly $1million down for February.
